RSK Ireland Ltd., part of the RSK Group of companies is currently looking for an Graduate Environmental Consultant to work within RSK Ireland Geo Sciences Team based in the RSK Ireland Dublin office.
Graduate Geo-environmental Consultant – Dublin
The successful candidate will be qualified with a Geology related degree and have an interest in site investigations techniques, basic contaminated land assessment. Site experience will be an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Undertaking Preliminary Risk Assessments / Preliminary site Assessments (Phase 1 Desk Studies) and intrusive site investigations for environmental purposes
- Soil and rock logging to current standards
- Managing fieldwork activities and subcontractors
- Supporting and co-ordinating a variety of projects
- Preparing health and safety documentation, booking subcontractors and scheduling soil and water samples for analytical and geotechnical testing
Person specification:
- BSc degree level qualified in Geology or a related Environmental subject
- MSc in Engineering Geology/Engineering or Contaminated Land related subjects preferable but not essential
- Previous experience would be an advantage.
- Understanding of laboratory testing and interpreting results with working knowledge of geotechnical and environmental guidance, BS10175.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prepared to work as part of a team or as an individual
- Candidates must be willing to spend time out on site and occasionally away from home.
- Full driving licence
