A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HARDWARE RETAIL CASHIER
As a Hardware Retail Cashier, you are the friendly face that greets our customers as they walk into the store. With your positive, helpful attitude, you answer any questions they may have about our products and help them navigate the store to find what they are looking for. As necessary, you help them order products that we do not have in the store. You also communicate proactively with your coworkers to make sure we can adequately meet every customer's needs.
When customers are ready to check out, you use our point-of-sale system to efficiently and accurately ring up their orders. You thank them as they leave the store and make sure they found everything they were looking for, leaving them with a positive impression that will keep them coming back. Your satisfaction comes from meeting new people every day and working alongside a friendly team!
QUALIFICATIONS
- Commitment to working hard and growing within the home improvement retail space
- A positive, helpful attitude
Experience in a customer service role using a computer-operated point-of-sale program is preferred, but not required for this entry-level role. If you have outstanding communication skills and a professional demeanor, we'd love to meet you!
WORK SCHEDULE
This part-time, entry-level customer service position typically works Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
