Due to our continued success, we at Rocksalt are delighted to be seeking a Head Chef to join our team.

RockSalt Café began in August 2018, following months of planning & construction on what was the famous Danny Hughes Seaside Shop in Blackrock. Rocksalt aims to offer our customers the high values of customer care, service and attention to detail with unique foodie twists. We strive to create a fantastic atmosphere, food and service culture with all the key elements of a 5-star hotel or restaurant but in a more casual and welcoming environment for both customers and teams. In February 2020 Rocksalt opened its second location on Dundalk’s Earl Street, while also building an outside catering element to the business throughout 2021, with our 3rd cafe site due to open in Carlingford shortly.

About the role -

This role is designed for someone who has a passion for food, attention to detail and most importantly to continuously drive the business forward. The role will entail -

• Day to Day running of a cafe kitchen operation.
• Ensuring continued consistency and quality.
• Implementing and maintaining standards with the senior management team.
• Continued management of HACCP throughout the kitchen.
• Responsibility for Rostering, Kitchen Budgets and Targets and KPIs.
• Building and leading a successful kitchen team.
• Continued Training and Development of the team.

About you -

A great Head Chef will love hospitality and have a genuine passion for people, food and service with a desire to learn and be the best they can be. Importantly you will have -

• 5+ years of kitchen management experience in a high paced environment.
• Strong business and operational experience.
• A passion for food and culinary creativity.
• A proven track record of building and leading successful teams.
• A full working knowledge of HACCP.
• The ability to promote an excellent working environment,be a strong communicator, approachable and have excellent people skills.
• An ability to work under pressure and be a hands-on natural leader.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €35,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
