Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Head Start Teacher Assistant to join our team at Bolivar Broadway. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching young children and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As a Head Start Teacher Assistant, you will work closely with the Head Start Teacher to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Start Teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children.

• Help maintain a safe and clean classroom environment.

• Assist with meal preparation and serving.

• Provide individualized attention and support to children as needed.

• Help maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.

• Attend all required training and meetings.

• Follow all Head Start policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Must have a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or be willing to obtain one within 2 years of employment.

• Experience working with young children preferred.

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
