About Your New Employer:

Our client is currently recruiting for an Environmental, Health & Safety Officer who will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Health & Safety standards, other operating standards and instilling a safety culture throughout the organisation.
The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director and this position is a full time, permant role.

About Your New Job:

• Lead the implementation and adherence of companywide Health & Safety strategy, policy and procedures.
• Incorporate Health & Safety legislative requirements, industry best practice and other requirements related to the company requirements.
• Guide, advise and support senior management on H&S policy and strategy and ensure monitoring and reporting on overall compliance to these standards.
• Provide support to managers and employees in all functions to create a safe, healthy and environmentally friendly working environment.
• Oversee and manage all preventative and protective procedures.
• Oversee audits, inspections and performance monitoring of H&S compliance across the business.
• Be hands-on with regular safety inspections identify hazards, implement corrective actions and report results to managers.

What Skills You Need

• Degree in Safety, Environmental Science or related discipline.
• Previous experience as a H&S Officer
• Manual handling instructor preferable
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental legislation
• Advocate of best practice with experience of implementing and maintaining QHSE systems.
