Flannery’s Nursing Home
Chapel Road, Abbeyknockmoy,Tuam, Co. Galway
are seeking to recruit motivated, caring and compassionate
Health Care Assistants on a Full Time Basis. The nursing home
is set in a rural location outside of the town of Tuam.
Main purpose of the role:
To work as part of a team of Health Care Assistants,
under the direction of the Nursing team.
To provide quality person centred care to meet the needs
of residents in order for them to continue living
independently with privacy and dignity.
To promote a caring environment for residents through
high standards of professional practice which are conducive
to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual
needs of the service users.
To provide high standard services as specified in agreed
care plans and to contribute to the continual review of
resident’s needs.
Candidates must be kind, reliable and a good communicator.
You will also need to be QQI Level 5 qualified in Healthcare
or working towards qualification or willing to work towards
it in your own time (a background in medicine, nursing or
physiotherapy would be a distinct advantage).
Healthcare Assistants can be scheduled to work days or nights,
you will need to be flexible in your hours and you will receive
your schedule weekly in advance for 39 hours per week.
You would be employed full time with us at a rate of pay
for 39 hours per week of €27,000 per annum.

• QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or Equivalent or Trainee (preferred)
