Fingal Home Care CLG is a social enterprise (not-for-profit Company) providing home support to HSE clients to enable them to live independently at home within their own communities and close to family and friends.

We have been providing services to the elderly and disabled across the Fingal County area for over forty years, assisting them with:

• Personal care
• Personal care tasks include (but are not limited to) bathing, transferring, toileting, washing, dressing and feeding.
• Practical light household care tasks include (but are not limited to) making meals
• Household tasks
• Shopping
• Companionship

We have vacancies for Health Care Assistants / Home Care Assistants in Donabate & Portrane

Reporting to the Area Care Supervisor, successful applicants will:

• Provide daily living assistance to elderly and disabled clients, in the clients own homes, including personal care, domestic duties and companionship
• Provide an input to the development and delivery of client centred care plans
• Ensure that the client is treated with dignity and respect at all times, bringing any concerns to the immediate attention of the Area Care Supervisor.
• We are seeking applications from people who ideally have QQI Level 5 award in Health Care (or at the very least Care of the Elderly and Care Skills Modules completed) or equivalent but will accept applications from candidates who do not possess the qualification but who are willing to study to attain same.

In addition, applicants should:

• Demonstrate a truly caring disposition
• Display strong attention to detail, providing all services required and being aware of anything unusual that may indicate a requirement for additional support being provided to a client
• Have an ability to communicate with clients and their relatives in an appropriate and professional manner
• Be honest and understand the absolute importance of confidentiality in all Company and client dealings.
• Be able to work on their own and as part (generally of a two person) team
