Healthcare Data Quality Analyst

Top Requirements

• Business side data analysis experience
• Very strong SQL experience
• 5 years of work experience retrieving and analyzing healthcare and health insurance data
• 5 years of work experience using SQL and various statistical and reporting software such as “R”, Stata, Tableau, SAS, etc.
• 3+ years of recent, progressive health insurance industry experience
• They must know how to access data from Enterprise Data Warehouses (not just data mart), so if their prior role includes business analysis where someone else gathered the data for them, then that would not be sufficient.
• Statistical and reporting software such as “R”, Stata, Tableau, SAS
• experience gathering requirements for, designing and executing healthcare computational analysis and research studies
• Excellent conversational and business English (written and oral)
• IT literacy in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, SQL (R, Python, Tableau is a plus)

Description
Skilled in the design, development and execution of healthcare and health insurance related data analysis, data discovery and reporting. Using a working knowledge of healthcare and health insurance data, operations and competitive / regulatory environment, works with key business staff and the Health Analytics Development Lead to construct and execute data selections and visualizations for healthcare studies. Using statistical methods, designs, codes and executes queries and programs to produce the data and reporting as required by healthcare studies. Supports internal, plan-based and external users by answering questions about and resolving issues with healthcare data selection. Works closely with other members of the Analytics and Insights team, council(s) and workgroup(s) to identify and address data issues and data needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Using various statistical methods, designs, codes and executes queries and programs to produce the data and reporting as required by healthcare studies
• Using a working knowledge of healthcare and health insurance data, operations and competitive / regulatory environment, works with key business staff and the Analytics Development Lead to construct and execute data selections and visualizations for healthcare studies.
• Supports internal, plan-based and external (non-BCBS) users by answering questions about and resolving issues with healthcare data selection.
• Works closely with other members of the Analytics and Insights team, council(s) and workgroup(s) to identify and address data issues and data needs.

An ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, information technology, healthcare or equivalent experience
• 3 years of progressive health insurance industry experience
• 5 years of work experience retrieving and analyzing healthcare and health insurance data
• 5 years of work experience using SQL and various statistical and reporting software such as “R”, Stata, Tableau, SAS, etc.
• 5 years of experience gathering requirements for, designing and executing healthcare computational analysis and research studies
• Excellent conversational and business English (written and oral)
• Exceptional IT literacy in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, SQL (R, Python, Tableau is a plus)
• An intellectual curiosity in and desire to learn about the constantly evolving healthcare industry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 - $57.00 per hour
