Our Hotel Operations Managers are key to our success by assisting in the successful execution of all hotel operations and managing hotel staff. The Operations Manager strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and to maximize the financial performance of the property, ensuring that the standards and procedures are being followed while assisting with exceeding property goals.
The principal duties and responsibilities of the Operations Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Support the management of Front Desk, Housekeeping and Engineering departments.
- Demonstrate the ability to successfully promote and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that goals are being translated to the team as they relate to guest tracking and productivity.
- Manage and monitor activities that affect the Guest Experience by being readily available to respond to guest requests in a timely manner.
- Cross-train and perform the duties and responsibilities of a General Manager.
- Manage profitability of the property by reviewing financial statements, sales, and activity reports, and other performance data.
- Interview potential applicants, perform reference checks, and extend job offers to qualified applicants to fill vacancies.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a technical background preferred.
- Post-high school course work from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Business Administration, or related major and/or four years’ experience in hotel management field including guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.
- Perform the physical aspects of the job including sitting, bending, climbing, standing, reaching, and walking for up to 90% of the workday and lifting and carrying up to 60 lbs.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and car insurance coverage for business-related travel.
