River and Twine is a collection of 20 boutique tiny houses crafted just for this idyllic setting by the banks of Eastern North Carolina's Tar River – the largest tiny house hotel of its kind. Nightly and extended rentals are available in River and Twine's 20 tiny homes and 3 guest suites located in a renovated 1900s mill house.

We are seeking a top-notch Housekeeping Inspector for our Rocky Mount Mills campus. In this role, you will inspect boutique tiny homes and guest suites to ensure the cleaning crew has met our high standards for the property to be ready for our next guest.

Pay Rate: $15.00/hr

The ideal candidate will have Housekeeping experience as you must have the ability to inspect the quality and cleanliness. If you are detailed oriented, energetic and meticulous with great interpersonal and verbal communication skills, we want to meet you!

This is a part -time position averaging 25-35 hours a week. This position qualifies for Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K benefits. You are expected to be on call in this position - 7 day work week with 1-2 days off during the week.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Inspect the cleaning of guest rooms/homes to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Work with and train housekeepers to ensure daily tasks are completed timely and accurately.
• Inspect housekeeping buckets, shelves, and cart to ensure that they are properly stocked.
• Ensure rooms are ready and inspected prior to check-in time and ensure proper amenities are delivered.
• Maintain cleanliness of interior / exterior areas at River and Twine.
• Support housekeepers by cleaning and stripping guest rooms daily / as needed
• Communicate with Management of any housekeeping delays or issues and make necessary changes to room status.
• Fill out work order tickets as needed and ensure unacceptable rooms are not released back to inventory until items are addressed
• Perform open and closing procedures
• Assist with housekeeping schedule
• Lead, hire, and train hotel housekeeping staff to adhere to our high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction
• Periodically conduct deep cleans
• Take inventory and ensure there is a stock of adequate cleaning supplies
• Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of (1) year experience in a similar role
• Experience in housekeeping
• Strong attention to detail
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and reliable transportation
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
• Able to exercise good judgement
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Proactive and flexible
• Weekday and Weekends Required-Must be available to work nights and holidays
• Work in all weather conditions

Experience in property management, vacation rentals, and/or hotels preferred.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in areas and conditions that are often noisy, have many distractions, and in extreme weather (heat and cold) and landscape conditions. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry and move with up to 40lbs in many environments including outdoors and in extreme weather conditions.
