Currently seeking Housekeeping Supervisor or Assistant Manager for the Kitty Hawk office. This role is a key position within the company in the delivery of customer service to our guests and homeowners. This is not an entry-level position.

Basic Spanish a Plus, but NOT required

Reports to: Housekeeping Manager

Other Department Relationships: Property Services, Rentals, Reservations, Laundry, and Maintenance

Work Week: TBD (Weekends required)

Job Requirements:

· Support and assist the housekeeping manager in:

o Create and/or update our standard and training documentation in both English and Spanish

o Provide training to our professional cleaners and ensure understanding by them

o Coordinate and keep the team up-to-date with the status of private or commercial cleans

· Utilize our technology systems to properly create, update, and close out work tasks

· Clearly and quickly communicate with homeowners and guests on any housekeeping issues that may arise

· Partner with the Housekeeping Manager on improving cleaners' efficiency and effectiveness

· Investigate housekeeping compensation requests.

· Other tasks and duties as requested

Critical Skills:

· Ability to manage constant flow of work and communicate clearly via e-mail, text, phone

· Problem solving using facts and data

· Positive ‘get it done’ attitude

Minimum requirements:

· High School education (or GED). 2-year+ college experience preferred

· Reliable transportation and report to work on-time

· Demonstrated experience using MS Office applications (or similar)

· Background in customer service and housekeeping

· No conflict of interest with additional jobs “on the side.”

· Overall objective of ensuring Housekeeping employee satisfaction and retention of managed rental property owners while also ensuring outstanding guest services

· Ensure accurate and timely communications with all departments

· Occasionally inspect properties for guest/owner arrival to assure satisfaction

· Ensure all property housekeeping issues are handled timely

· Ensure the accuracy of all accounting and payroll functions as it relates to the Housekeeping Department

· Communicate effectively and efficiently with outside vendors

· Ensure that all paperwork associated with the department is accurate and timely

· Ensure effective relations with all other departments

· Complete all assigned reports in an accurate and timely manner

· Work orders must be up-to-date and provide an accurate history for all readers

· Complete additional assigned projects and tasks accurately and timely

· Develop a working knowledge of Streamline management software

Skills, Abilities, Special Licenses or Certificates

  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to interact with Housekeeping employees
  • Ability to pleasantly interact in an office environment
  • Ability to follow through on completion of assigned projects
  • Working knowledge of Spanish a plus, but not required

Working Conditions and Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Professional attire (may be casual Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
  • Air-conditioned office
  • Ability to deal with owners of vacation rental properties that may be upset about a situation
  • Requires occasionally driving to properties
