Doherty Career Solutions is partnering with a local Cold Spring, MN company as they search for a new Human Resources Manager to join the growing team. As the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for leadership of the human resources team in the delivery of Human Resources services to the organization. This position will have you work in partnership with the Safety, Environmental & Compliance, Learning Institute and Payroll and Benefits teams in ensuring processes/procedures are adhered to and goals are met to meet department and organization objectives. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Participates in labor relations discussions pertaining to grievances and arbitrations, provides leadership and guidance in the Collective Bargaining process to ensure employee concerns are addressed while confirming leadership maintains consistency and conformance.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource requirements; investigations; maintaining records; representing at hearings as needed.
  • Responsible for the identification, development and implementation of organizational policies, programs, and procedures to improve effectiveness of the organization and Human Resources function within the organization.
  • Utilize superior project management skills while working as a member of the leadership team on program design, employee development, and strategic planning.
  • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of human resources plans and systems including: position design and description, recruiting and selection, education and development, work environment safety, performance management, pay and benefit administration, reward and recognition, and employee record management.
  • Support the planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results through programs including orientation and performance reviews, provide guidance to leadership to coach and discipline employees through effective performance management, counseling and leadership.
  • Manages the recruitment and selection process.
  • Plan, administer and control department budget and organizational structure for location.
  • Ensure the planning, budgeting and execution of company organized employee events.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline from a four-year college; or five years of progressive human resource generalist and leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing/assembly environment; or equivalent combination.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to communicate, establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to accept challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and a self-starter that is motivated to achieve tasks within set timelines.
