Job Purpose and Summary

The HR Administrator performs a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. Duties of the HR Administrator include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing general administrative activities. This position requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
  • Answers phone calls and emails
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department
  • Review, schedule, and interview applicants
  • Complete the onboarding process of new hires
  • Process personnel action forms for resignations, terminations, promotions, transfers, employee evaluations, disciplinary actions, and update employee information
  • Wellness credit program tracking
  • Assist with orientation, open enrollment, and the annual company picnic
  • Assist with any other HR tasks/projects when needed
  • Assist with safety admin tasks/projects when needed
  • Assist with job postings and applicant tracking
  • Assist in scheduling and setting up training classes
  • Attend career fairs
  • Assist in the front desk with receptionist duties

Skills and Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • One to two years office/administrative experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and/or Google Workspace
  • Self-Starter and disciplined in managing work
  • Able to organize, plan, and prioritize work
  • Manage highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to organize and track all details and information while maintaining a deadline
  • Judgment skills

Working Environment

  • Monday through Friday – hours vary from 25-40 hours per week (hours vary based on the workload and applicants prior experience)
  • Flexible work schedule being able to work between the hours of 8am-5pm
  • Office work

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay: $18.40 - $27.60 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)
