Assists Human Resources Manager in responsibilities related to human resources. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal and state employment laws and regulations. Adheres to Core Values and promotes Value Driven Culture at all times. Performs duties in compliance with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to, the Bank Secretary Act.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
- Performs a wide range of human resources staffing and organizational duties, in accordance with established human resource practices.
- Schedule and coordinate new hire orientation, compose correspondence, schedule meetings, facilitate training, gather data to produce reports, and employee separation documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee records in database system.
- Process employee benefits premiums and maintain accurate enrollment.
- Adheres to protecting Private Health Information (PHI) in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Maintenance application user access for new user(s) to training modules in ICBA and provides notification to other departments on employee creation.
- Coordinates changes in staff, including promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Assist with maintenance and communication of updates to the Employee Handbook and ensures new policies integration.
- Assist in addressing general HR-related complaints, as related to the Handbook.
- Ensures all State and Federal regulatory notifications/publications are adhered to throughout all organization.
- Conduct necessary research to formulate and update complete job descriptions.
- Responsible for the administration of the performance evaluation system; training of staff members on usage and tracking for on time completion of annual reviews.
- Assist in implementation of strategic direction of learning and development.

- Responsible for complying with the Bank Secrecy Act policies and procedures, including attendance at annual training, as directed by the Bank Secrecy Act Officer.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Recent Human Resources experience (HR certification preferred).
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum one (1) year, with related degree. Minimum four (4) years, if no degree.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of all HR functions and familiarity with HR laws and regulations is required. Financial industry experience/knowledge of HR best practices within the industry is preferred. Knowledge of payroll software is strongly preferred.
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Strong organizational and mathematical skills are required.
