POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resources Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes. This role will provide high-level administrative support to the Director of Human Resources. This position streamlines existing HR processes making sure all HR operations run smoothly while assisting employees and new hires with their queries. The Human Resource Coordinator provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
REQUIREMENTS & PREFERENCES:
- Minimum of HS Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree and at least two (2) years of job-related experience or a combination of education and experience preferred
- Experience working with and maintaining Kronos HRIS, or other HRIS database systems preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
- Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm preferred
- Reliable transportation required with the ability to move between sites as needed
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
- Answer frequently asked questions relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
- Assists with pre-employment testing and new-employee background checks.
- Assist the Human Resources Director with tracking companywide vacancies.
- Assists with new hire credentialing as needed.
- Assists with preparing new employee binders.
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the Human Resources Director.
- Files and uploads documents into appropriate employee files.
- Assist the HR Director with special projects and initiatives as needed.
- Sort and distribute internal and external mail.
- Develops methods and procedures for compiling and analyzing data for reports and special projects.
- Conducts periodic audits of human resource activities to ensure compliance with laws, policies, and procedures.
- Provides high-level administrative support and assistance to the Human Resources Director.
- Performs clerical and administrative tasks including ordering supplies and uniforms, drafting letters, memos, emails, reports, and other documents for senior staff.
- Schedules and attends meetings, taking notes and recording minutes.
- Receives incoming communication on behalf of senior staff, reviews contents, determines importance, and summarizes and/or distributes contents to appropriate staff.
- Occasionally will accompany company recruiter to external events.
