Human Resources Generalist/Payroll Administrator

This position will report to the HR Director.
General Summary
Support a high-performance fast-growing culture with a strong dynamic in HR/Payroll practices. This role is responsible for assisting with the development of processes and metrics in the HR/Payroll department while promoting the organizations goals. This person will serve as a link between leadership and employees.
HR Responsibilities
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, payroll, and employment law.
- Use HR systems to empower team and eliminate office tasks.
- Review terms.
- Support and advise discipline actions.
- Recommend and help develop positive employee relation practices.
- Conduct investigations.
- Coordinate HR training programs.
- Support implementation of performance reviews.
- Submit unemployment claims.
- Submit employee verifications.
- Support onboarding process when necessary.
- Partner with recruiters to execute successions plans.
- Monitor benefits plans.
- Monitors pay practices regarding bonuses and time off.
Payroll Administrator
- Is the payroll expert. Makes recommendations for payroll related policies. Provides training as needed (i.e., managers & staff) to ensure compliance and full utilization of tools.
- Responsible for timely, accurately, and compliantly processing Provantage's bi-weekly payroll.
- Audit and process payroll documents. Process employee data for new hires, changes, additional earnings, etc.
- Processes employee Time & Labor data to payroll and reconcile variances. Approve and release time in the time system.
- Prepares and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.
- Maintains paid time off records.
- Processes garnishments.
- Develops in depth understanding of payroll software and HRIS. Create reports on demand
- Assists employees in registering for or resetting access to Paylocity online portal.
- Responsible for month-end duties including approving HR related invoices and ensuring timely
payment, submitting payroll accrual (with management approval).
- Maintains vendor contact for payroll and recruiting and other HR related activities.

- Knowledge of compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, employee relations and team engagement.
- Strong written and spoken skills.

- Experience with benefits and compensation.

- Bilingual preferred.
- Be over 18.
- Pass a criminal background check.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
- At least 2 years Paylocity experience.
Compensation
- Full time, Monday-Friday
- Paid time off after 90 days
- $50,000-$55,000 based on experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
