About the Role:
The purpose of the Mechanical HVAC Installer is to install equipment, ductwork, and piping related to HVAC systems for industrial and commercial projects. This position is part of a team and does not qualify for a company vehicle.
Responsibilities of Mechanical Installers:
- Study blueprints, design specifications, or manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components.
- Assist with layout of sheet metal ductwork and/or piping for industrial and commercial installations.
- Have a general knowledge of basic sheet metal connection types. TDC, S&D, etc.
- Have a general knowledge of basic piping and connection types for various uses. T&C, butt weld, socket weld, soldered, zoom lock, press fit, mega-press, etc.
- Have a desire to learn and work in an environment where teamwork and safety are priority.
- Be willing to take instruction and be a motivated self starter.
- Be prompt everyday and ready to work.
Qualifications of the Role:
- High School Diploma or equal. Some college or technical school training specific to the HVAC trade is a plus
- Previous commercial/industrial HVAC experience
- KY Journeyman's license or other certifications a plus
- Flexibility to work on out-of-town projects
- Able to lift more than 50 lbs
