Location: Norwood, MA

Shifts below:

A shift: sunday - wednesday 6am - 6pm one week - the next week its sunday - tuesday 6am -6pm

B Shift: Sunday - wednesday 6pm - 6am one week - the next week its sunday - tuesday 6pm - 6am

D Shift: Wednesday - Saturday 6pm - 6am one week - the next its Thursday - saturday 6pm - 6am

AND - 1 mon - fri shift: start time can be flexible between 6/7/8am (8 hour shift).

This is a union site and they will be paid $45.68 - this is a perm start so ~$95k salary.

Must Haves:

  • EPA/CFC Universal
  • some sort of refrigeration license
  • Comes from a GMP background
  • 3 - 5 YOE in commercial/GMP background on HVAC equipment

General Duties:

  • Investigate, determine failure mode, identify required mitigations, and perform repairs to GMP and Non-GMP HVAC equipment and supporting utilities; to include but not limited to:

Differential pressure excursionsUsing the BMS/EMS systems determine if pressure cascades were maintained, or a cascade reversal occurred
Temperature excursions
Using the BMS/EMS systems to trouble shoot and trend

  • Using P&ID’s and trade specific drawings: Identify components on HVAC and supporting utilities.
  • Identify hazardous energy control points (LOTO) and residual energy relief points
  • Provide redlines or as-builts for revision
  • Provide objective factual/ data driven feedback for FMEA’s, Root Cause Analysis, Deviation Investigations and Risk Assessments
  • Maintaining and repairing air handling units, exhaust fans, fume hoods, fan coil units, reheat coils, and other associated mechanical equipment
  • Monitor the operation and adjust refrigeration, heat exchanger, HVAC, hot water systems, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment, boilers, heating and ventilating equipment, pumps, valves, piping and filters, other mechanical equipment, record readings and making minor adjustments, when required to assure proper operation of equipment.
  • Analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems / malfunctions, and make recommendations to management on the corrective action as required.
  • Performs preventive maintenance equipment.
  • Conduct immediate clean-up of work area, returning tools to workshop, and unused supplies to storeroom.
  • Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of equipment and to ensure conformance to job specifications, including building and safety codes
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment including measuring devices, and testing equipment.
  • Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to safely and competently perform work.
  • Performs minor building maintenance and or support to other tradesman or technicians as required by business and operational requirements.
  • Operate a variety of hand and powered tools
  • Minor mechanical inspection, maintenance, repairs, and installation for general building repairs
  • Perform snow removal on roof and around equipment as require
  • Conforms and follows all safety requirements including but not limited to
  • PPE Requirement
  • Achieve all targeted client KPI by successfully completing the following
  • Good Catch Near Misses
  • Work Order Schedule Adherence
  • Adhere to all Environmental, Regulatory, Statutory and Industry
  • Compliance rules and laws
  • Complete all assigned training on-time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00 - $45.68 per hour
