Position: Instrumentation & Electrical Technician

Reports To: General Manager
Position Overview: The I&E Technician is responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of industrial equipment and electrical systems. The ideal candidate would have experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) as well as experience with Data Flow Diagrams (DFD). A critical element in this role is calibrating instruments to adapt to the specific needs of a client or job. Success in this role will be demonstrated by following blueprints and instructions created by engineers to develop and maintain systems with minimal downtime.

Job Duties:

• Provide field instrumentation support for all process equipment. The systems maintained utilize pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-mechanical and electronic elements and tie into a LAN and SCADA system.
• Develop work plans covering installation, calibration, inspection, and troubleshooting tasks, to minimize production impacts and enhance the reliability of the operation.
• Assist in maintaining instrumentation.
• Establishes service by studying system requirements, ordering, and gathering components and parts, completing installation, and performing acceptance tests.
• Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
• Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs.
• Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
• Capable of reading and understanding overview drawings, one-line drawings, and electrical schematics
• Ability to work in all-weather climates.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience Must be reliable and have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.
• PLC and DFD experience.
• VFD And Soft Start

Pay: $10.44 - $34.12 per hour
