Work Hours: 7:45am - 4:45pm

Major Responsibilities

• Manage the daily export order process for efficient and lawful execution of all export activities
• Support the distribution centers with export document preparation
• Manage denied party screening process
• Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for export processes
• Assist with product classification and information requests including Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS), Schedule B, Import-Export Control Classification Number (ECCN), and Country of Origin
• Audit and screen new Freight Forwarder requests and update in system
• Coordinate training for Export Associates daily processes to create required Export documents
• Follow up with freight forwarders to EEI records as transmitted to U.S. Customs on behalf of the USPPI
• Support maintenance of all compliance records as outlined in the Company’s Recordkeeping Policy, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
• Assist with International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Classification
• Work with Import/Export Logistics & Compliance Manager in the periodic audit of Import-Export activities
• Serve as backup for import Last Mile Team activities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge Required

• Excellent communication skills
• Strong computer skills required (Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, )
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities and exhibit excellent follow-up

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
• Minimum 3 years working experience in Import-Export compliance related activities
