Summary: The sales account manager is responsible for managing internal day-to day activities of the sales department. This key position is responsible for tracking and reporting customer commercial activities by means of data entry, project management, and other organizational skills.

This candidate should work to satisfy customers’ needs and requests, respond to their queries in a timely manner, and aspire to deliver a positive customer experience. In summary, this position is the point of contact both internally and externally for all sales activities.

NOTE: THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE REVIEW OF TECHNICAL BLUE PRINTS AND IS NOT A CALL CENTER/CUSTOMER SERVICE POSITION

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all corporate safety and policies/processes.
  • Responsible for all contract reviews of all customer purchase orders.
  • Review all Request for Quotes (RFQ) for accuracy, input into ERP system, and send to customer on a timely basis.
  • Make note of strategic and complexity of all new RFQs and documents on cover sheet. Report strategic opportunities to Business Development Leader.
  • Maintain an updated report for management on all open RFQ’s and Win/Loss data metrics utilizing ERP system and Microsoft Excel.
  • Utilize ERP system to assign projects and generate new customers; paying attention to credit holds, billing details, and accuracy of information for internal and external resources.
  • Review, edit, and authorize all changes to open orders utilizing various reports such as Ship/Shippable Report and Time & Material (T&M) reporting.
  • Assist the Purchasing and Quoting Departments in any additional material/outside vendor quotes to assist in RFQ’s.
  • Assist the Business Development Leader with implementation and upkeep of CRM database.
  • Responsible for entering all quotes and orders into ERP system and sending out company notifications of orders.
  • Maintain various reports such as Quotes in Process, Production Detail, Hours by Job, etc. utilizing ERP system.
  • Manage all customer files and orders and maintain electronic copies in the company network drive.
  • Maintain audit trail for all customer related documentation. Utilize professional communication to be the liaison from customer to internal project management with extreme professional customer service skills
  • Create and analyze all T&M reporting for required invoice reporting.
  • Act as a back-up for receiving department to receive shipments in ERP system.
  • Participate and complete all required and mandatory hours to meet customer and internal workload requirements, including Saturday and Sunday, as scheduled
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Aerodyn management.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of industry related customer service/sales experience
  • Strong PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook & Project)
  • ERP systems Data Entry experience
  • Must be able to multi-task, stay organized, and be able to prioritize work daily.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be self-directed and able to deliver under pressure, meeting customer and management deadlines.
  • Must be comfortable operating independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Must be customer-focused and able to work with customers and understand/react to their needs
  • Must demonstrate the ability to act professionally
  • Minimum travel required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
