In this role, the candidate will be responsible for both power and performance modeling and verification on Intel Federal designs. This will typically involve utilizing a variety of Intel, customer, and commercial tools, and influencing architecture and design decisions and direction to ensure that power and performance results are within the landing zone.
Conducts or participates in multidisciplinary research in the design, development, testing and utilization of information processing hardware and/or electrical components, mechanisms, materials, and/or circuitry, processes, packaging, and cabinetry for central processing units (CPUs) and/or peripheral equipment. Prepares specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports. Ensures products conform to standards and specifications. Develops plans and cost estimates and assesses projects to analyze risk. Develops procedures, analysis and design for computer components, products, and systems. Initiates, guides, and coordinates overall design and development of new ideas and products. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Minimum Qualifications Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or directly fields with 15+ years of industry experience OR a Master's in the same field with 12+ years of educational or the equivalent years industry experience. Must also have extensive experience in both performance and power modeling. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing performance models to investigate potential architectural solutions. Experience working with customer-developed performance and functional models. Familiarity with pre-silicon functional and performance validation. Experience with optimizing critical design features for power and/or performance. Prior experience with Intel Federal custom silicon programs greatly preferred. This position involves work on US Government Contracts and/or proposals for US Government Contracts that limit participation to US Citizens. A person may be required to provide proof of US Citizenship in order to comply with US government requirements. Any offer by Intel for this position is conditioned upon satisfying any government requirements regarding proof of citizenship.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:$136,750.00-$232,630.00
- Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
