Your Opportunity

Licensure is not required but it is expected to be part of your short-term goals. You will be exposed to a variety of project types and sizes and work within a project team during all phases of the project. You will be developing elevations, sections, and architectural details for projects and assisting with innovative and creative new ideas surrounding best practices within in a lively design-oriented studio atmosphere.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Keeps the Project Manager informed of progress on expectations, deadlines, and deliverables that fall within their responsibility.
• Participate in team meetings, charettes and coordination sessions.
• Assists in monitoring and coordination of consultant work and deadlines.
• Assist project teams in the development of a design through sketches, physical models, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats.
• Utilize BIM technologies in development of three-dimensional models of buildings and their components.
• Prepare and revises documentation in various architectural phases including site plans, floor plans, building elevations, building sections, and details.
• Coordinate building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
• Assist in contract administration tasks.
• Attend project coordination and meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
• Implement sustainable design principles into the building design and surrounding environment.
• Assist in site analysis, research of concept, benchmarks, typology, and precedents.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Capable of simultaneously supporting multiple Project Managers on multiple projects.
• General understanding of accessibility codes, life-safety codes, building construction systems, means and methods, materials, and industry associated standards.
• Takes direction well, however, proactively takes appropriate action without requiring continued direction.
• Manages multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Team player with the client, entire project team and contractor.
• Good communicator.
• Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, InDesign and Photoshop; Prefer experience with Enscape, SketchUP, Newforma.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, or related field. Architectural licensure preferred but not required. Minimum of 5 years of experience.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Work from home may be optional for up to two days per week depending on assignment.
