Job Description:

SM Line is seeking an Intermodal Specialist in the Greater Phoenix Area (Chandler). This role is pivotal to the success in expanding SM Line's services. In this role, we are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, dedicated, individual who is willing to learn and grow with us.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Processing and auditing vendor invoices in a timely manner (Advanced Excel Skill needed.)
• Work with Rail Company (UP and CN) for billing and reconciliation
• Execute day to day operational activities according to requirements to obtain high internal and external customer satisfaction
• Coordinate trucking company for dispatching and planning
• Communicate and coordinate internally with counterparts in all offices in the U.S. and abroad
• Monitor Rail containers transit need
• Maintain courteous, prompt, efficient inter-office communication
• Identify, establish, practice and maintain logistics procedures

Key Results:

• Assist managers to meet or exceed operational expectations and KPI targets.
• Understand short term and long term goals to Reduce the operating cost of the business while maintaining quality standards
• Seizes opportunities to maximize company goals.

Qualifications:

• College degree preferred in Logistics, Transportation, Business or Distribution
• Candidates must be willing to work with a startup mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required
• Attention to detail
• Is a real go-getter and willing to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to handle ambiguity and willing to learn
• Ability to multi-task in the fast paced environment

Pay: $40,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
