International Inventory Planning Lead

We are currently looking to recruit an International Inventory Planning Lead. This role based in our Dublin, Ireland office and reports to the Director, International Demand Planning.

The Inventory Planning Lead will be joining a new energic team chartered with transforming Cardinal Health International Supply Chain strategy across demand, supply, and inventory planning pillars.

The position will have dotted line responsibility for International Planning teams across 46 countries along with managing key Global functional relationships. The role will require deep understanding of supply chain processes to hold e2e supply chain functions accountable for achieving right inventory levels and placement across International to meet current and future customer product availability requirements.

Ultimately this role will enable the right candidate to demonstrate their passion to drive real change across Cardinal Health’s International supply chain thus positively impacting millions of patients within a new and dynamic International Planning team.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the International S&OP Inventory inputs and outputs that drive optimized inventory across international business.

  • Report and own international inventory operational improvements across key KPIs DIOH, Reserve and SLOBs.

  • Manage inventory KPI performance and international re-balancing inventory as necessary to manage inventory expense to the lowest possible level.

  • Drive root cause analysis and commercial alignment across International to enable improved inventory performance outcomes.

  • Effectively use metrics to inform day-to-day business activities as well as management communications on overall health of Inventory processes.

  • Simulate changes to inventory policies to understand and balance trade-offs between inventory and customer service levels.

  • Develop impactful dashboards, metrics, and targets to measure performance of processes within scope, and support stakeholders across International as needed.

  • Standardize Inventory monitoring and reporting across geographies to enable international oversight and decision making.

  • Deliver and reduce reserve targets through proactive monitoring inventory holding and sell through profile.

  • Generate views of period-ending inventory by inventory quality, ABC classification and make recommendations on optimal path forward.

  • Identify strategic safety stock inventory levels based on customer service levels, supply variability, forecast error and bias

  • Manage customer minimum shelf-life requirements and develop processes to allocate appropriately dated inventory across International and on to customer.

  • Ensure International supply chain processes meet CAH compliance requirements.

  • Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned during business or as requested.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience leading project teams as well as results through others

  • Highly effective in structuring, analyzing, and understanding data

  • Duties requires proven proactive problem-solving skills

  • Impact and influence skills and strong experience in change management.

  • Experience working across International teams and cultural awareness

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management and/or related area preferred

  • APICS CPIM qualification an advantage

  • 5-7 years Supply chain experience required; healthcare industry experience preferred

  • Experience with Kinaxis planning tool an advantage

  • Fluent in English (oral and writing); any other language is considered a plus

  • Travel amount: Approximately 5%
