Inventory Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Coordinator to join our team. The Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for managing and organizing inventory levels and movements within our food warehouse, ensuring that all products are properly received, stored, and issued. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, experience in food inventory management, and proficiency with inventory management software.

Responsibilities:

● Ensure FIFO and FEFO are strictly followed and maintain accurate food inventory records.

● Conduct inventory audits and manage food inventory movements, including receiving, storing, and issuing.

● Coordinate with warehouse team to accurately fulfill food orders, adhering to safety and quality standards.

● Generate reports on inventory levels, movements, and transactions and perform regular cycle counts.

● Manage proper handling, storage, and disposal of expired or damaged food products.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse layout and workflow.

● Drive forklift and pallet jack to move pallets with grocery, produce, meat, and houseware items.

● Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

● Identify process improvement opportunities and make recommendations to the Food Warehouse Manager.

● Train and mentor warehouse staff on inventory control procedures and best practices as necessary.

● Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualification:

● A High school diploma or equivalent is required.

● 1+ years of experience in a food warehouse or inventory management role, with knowledge of pallet jack and forklift operation.

● Flexibility to work different shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.

● Experience with food safety regulations and practices.

● Familiarity with food inventory management related software is a plus.

● Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable working with inventory management software.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

● Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results.

● Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

● Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

● Ability to conduct inventory audits and identify discrepancies in inventory levels, and make necessary adjustments.

● Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.

● Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

● Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Physical Requirements:

● This job may require standing or walking for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive motions.

Working Conditions:

● This job is performed in an environment that may have exposure to heat, noise, and other environmental factors associated with food production.

● The position will work in a commercial kitchen environment and will be required to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Compensation:

The pay range for this job is between $18/Hr. - $20/Hr. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
