We are currently searching for an Information Technology Analyst. The IT Analyst will support the Stress Engineering Services, Inc. (SES) Information systems, working under the supervision and direction of the SES IT Manager. SES is primarily a Windows environment, with the addition of several Red Hat Linux servers. The IT Analyst will help the engineers succeed on their projects, which range from designing laundry detergent bottles to evaluating the safety of oil refineries, and will provide technical assistance to other areas of the organization. This is done by not only day to day troubleshooting but identifying common problems within systems and aiding in the development of solutions to these common problems in order to increase efficiency. We are currently searching for an Information Technology Analyst. The IT Analyst will support the Stress Engineering Services, Inc. Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Support computer users including informal one-on-one training
- Troubleshoot and support conferencing systems and activities as needed
- Troubleshoot and fix difficult computer problems and simple TCP/IP network problems
- Troubleshooting software related issues. (Microsoft Office, Autodesk Products, Solidworks, Adobe Acrobat and many other software packages)
- Help with daily helpdesk issues coming from ticketing system
- Setup New computers for employees
- Install software as needed on computers
- Order supplies
- Create computer accounts
- Document configurations and processes
- Help maintain data integrity and security
- Assist with network and firewall configuration
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of one relevant computer industry certification: MCTS, MCITP, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, A+, Network+, Linux+, etc. or degree in field of Information Technology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (over the phone, via email, and in-person)
- Strong ability to multitask successfully
- Possess the technical skills to develop technology used to improve business systems leveraging relational database systems and associated development tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three or more years of experience supporting Microsoft Windows computers and TCP/IP networks preferred
- Experience with Azure and Office365 products
- Experience with Linux or UNIX
- Cisco networking certification
- Experience supporting engineering application software such as ABAQUS, ANSYS, AutoCAD, Inventor, and SolidWorks preferred
- Telephone system support experience, both Digital and IP Systems
- Experience with HP workstations, HP Laptops, HP servers and HP Printers
