The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on Azure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. The candidate should have a deep understanding of Azure services and be proficient in managing cloud infrastructure.
The Azure Cloud Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership to support corporate initiatives in cloud computing and automation, focusing on supporting systems and services running on cloud platforms. They develop and coordinate cloud solutions across diverse areas including application development, identity and access management, networking, security, data management, and more.
As a remote-first organization, the Home Improvement Lending group will be geographically distributed across the US – this role is fully remote anywhere in the United States and can also take advantage of Bayview’s offices in New York City, NY or Coral Gables, FL. Compensation range $125-145K base pay, with meaningful bonus / upside potential negotiable based on experience and location. - Design, implement, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
- Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines, storage, network, and security resources.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of the cloud infrastructure.
- Implement and manage Azure-based solutions, including but not limited to Azure Active Directory, Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor, and Azure Site Recovery
- Experience with PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation and configuration management tools.
- Work with development and operations teams to optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Implement security and compliance policies and procedures.
- Create and maintain documentation for the cloud infrastructure and services.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure technologies and features and provide recommendations to improve the cloud infrastructure.
- Setup Backups and Monitoring of resources
- Participate in operational triage calls to help resolve issues when they arise.
- Experience in triaging components of traditional on-premises distributed systems (storage, network, compute).
- Ensure delivered solutions meet/perform to technical and functional/non-functional requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and ownership in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to service owners.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
- 7 + years of experience spanning at least two IT disciplines, including technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management, or operations.
- Ability to provide technical documentation, diagrams, process flows, data flows, and artifacts is required.
- Must possess solid hands-on experience with Azure Enterprise Environments
- Experience with multi-cloud environments a plus
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Engineer role highly valued
- Strong understanding of operating systems such as Linux, Unix, Solaris, & Windows. Familiar with the various operating systems' concepts, pros, and cons.
- High-level understanding of vital cyber security concepts. Basic knowledge of firewalls and other security components is necessary.
- Understanding of network architecture and application development methodologies
- Knowledge of business process re-engineering principles and procedures
- Successfully prioritize and oversee multiple simultaneous work streams.
- Must be able to work in a demanding environment; a flexible work schedule can be required.
- Comfortable with providing Tier I and Tier II problem resolution with team members and business community users within expected SLAs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as oral and written communication skills.
- Hands-On with PaaS and IaaS cloud ecosystems
- Minimum of 5 years' experience within the financial industry and/or at a highly complex regulated technology organization desired
- Knowledge and expertise with Cloud technology architecture and design in a hybrid environment a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Adaptable, innovative, and stays current in Cloud technologies.
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registration
- Microsoft Certifications in Azure are required.
