Primary Accountability:
The IT System Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and VM Environment. The System Administrator will be responsible to install hardware, software, and participate in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the IT business needs of OCHS. The System administrator will actively resolve problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the company.
Job Description/Specific Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
- Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
- Support, upgrade and manage end user compute environment, including client device imaging and patch management, virtual app and service delivery
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
- Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
- Take lead on escalated help desk issues, making sure all desktop/virtual applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
- Plan, build and support clinical information systems. Collaborating with clinical and managerial support staff to ensure clinical objectives are met by the software and solutions are delivered in a scalable, user-friendly environment.
- Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of IT related experience in computer science, information systems management, network administration, or related field and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a technology support position required.
Schedule:
- Regular attendance on-site is an essential function of this position. Typical business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (or flexed to best meet the needs of the clients and/or the Division); 40 hours per workweek; weekend, holiday, or evening coverage is occasionally required. Work hours will need to be flexible in order to respond to special work assignments, or evening activities, as requested by the team leader.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
