Project Overview

RIVA Solutions is currently seeking an Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of RIVA Solutions HHS OIG Information Technology Service Desk Support and Engineering Services Program. The Infrastructure Support Engineer will provide infrastructure engineering support to ensure that the HHS OIG IT infrastructure is sufficiently robust, scalable, and efficient to deliver the integrated services underlying the physical environment that supports the processes, physical resources, and operators required for developing and integrating IT applications and support services.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Establish and execute deployment and testing processes using all applicable Federal standards, policies, and requirements.
• Support installation, integration, testing and implementation of the systems developed to include, but not be limited to, all activities associated with data conversion and data collection.
• Maintain and update current supporting documentation including, but not limited to, manuals (i.e., operations, system maintenance, user, and training), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), plans (i.e., system integration and site implementation), and disaster recovery (DR) procedures.
• Apply the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements on HHS OIG network devices and servers, endpoints, and other systems.
• Deliver a root cause analysis document for each critical incident escalated to Tier 3 and resolved in accordance with SLAs.
• Recommend new products and technology for supporting all layers of the IT infrastructure architecture.
• Test and certify hardware and software changes as a precursor to release into production.

Required:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

• Background demonstrating leading projects for improving network and systems infrastructure, implementing new capabilities, and/or remediating problem areas.
• Background demonstrating the ability to operate effectively within a complex, dynamic environment.
• Expertise in principals of networking, storage, server, and systems operations.
• Expertise in analyzing and interpreting network, storage, application, server, and security systems monitoring logs, rules, and outputs to create actionable remediating tasks.
• Experience in Windows and Linux system administration.
• Ability to identify and relay information and symptoms detected by monitoring tools.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions or procedures with minor supervision.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• S. Citizenship or have been a permanent resident for more than 3 years.
• Must be able to achieve public trust clearance

Required Qualifications

• Wireless network standards
• VMWare Airwatch
• VMWare Administration
• Microsoft Intune
• Windows Application and imaging.

Desired:

• Knowledge and 4+ years of experience with Palo Alto Networks
• F5 Networks experience
• Endpoint protection and monitoring

Education Required

No degree requirement. Must have 5+ years of relevant experience

Ability to obtain a Public Trust High Security Clearance
