We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our team on a permanent full-time basis however we are willing to consider part-time flexibility for the right candidate.

Suitable candidates must be flexible in their working hours as this is a shift-based role, involving a combination of the following 3 shifts:

• 9:00am – 5:00pm

• 12noon – 8:00pm

• 4:00pm to finish

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Clean all operating catering equipment with full care for handling and storage.
• Clean all pots and pans in pot wash area/plate wash.
• Cleaning of plates, cups and all crookery
• To assist with food preparation for the kitchen including peeling and preparing vegatables as directed by Chefs
• Assist in staff canteen with cleaning duties and clearing of food (plates) etc.
• Removal of all rubbish bags in the Kitchen areas.
• Cleaning of kitchen according to cleaning schedule programme provided by Head Chef.
• To ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum at all times.
• To always operate in a clean, hygienic manner, keeping both person and surrounding work areas as clean as possible at all times and conforming to company hygiene regulations ensuring that all areas are washed down at the end of your shift.
• To ensure that all hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times in all areas of the hotel particularly the food production areas.
• To comply with all statutory and legal requirements and Health & Safety, Fire, Hygiene, licensing and Employment, ensuring that you are fully aware and practice the Hotels policies and procedures in these important areas.

Please note that this is a busy and physically demanding role.
