Well established local retailer located in Fairfield County seeking a full time & part time experienced sales design professional to join our growing team. We are located in Westport and have been in business since 1999. This is an excellent opportunity with a company that has more leads than our current sales staff can handle. The ideal candidate is an ambitious professional that can work independently in an exciting and fast paced environment. Knowledge of kitchen design using 20/20 a plus; however, willing to train the right individual.

Position will entail meeting with clients to develop design ideas for their home, compute budget ranges and price estimates, as well as select the various finishes. The Kitchen Designer is detail oriented with excellent project management, sales, measurement, cost estimating and decision making skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Warmly welcome customers and provide consultative design services
  • Meet with clients in our showroom and travel to homes to take detailed and exact measurements for installation specifications
  • Project management, including communicating with vendors to order materials specified for project
  • Learn and keep up-to-date with key industry business knowledge
  • Must be able to work Saturdays

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Willing to train the right candidate, kitchen design and remodeling experience a plus
  • Prior experience with kitchen design software (e.g. 20/20) and hand drafting a plus
  • Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen design and/or construction/renovation industry
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft programs – Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Polished and professional demeanor
