Job Description
- Conduct large and small Lab Pack projects. Segregate, pack, transport materials, and complete documentation in accordance with all governmental, customer, and Clean Earth policies, practices, and procedures.
- Perform on-site testing of unknown materials adhering to all regulations and company guidelines.
- Provide on-the-job training to Technicians and Operators in equipment operation, service line processes, and required documentation.
- Maintain records for DOT, DEA, and other government entities as assigned. Instruct, provide feedback, direct, and assist the team in the performance of job duties to complete work in accordance with all applicable regulations and internal policies, practices, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Our qualified candidate will have an Associate’s degree in environmental science, biology, or chemistry; 1+ year(s) of experience packing, labeling, and preparing for transportation chemicals and hazardous waste, and a 40-hour Hazwoper certificate.
- By law, candidates must be 21 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in environment, biology, or chemistry.
- Experience leading or supervising a team.
- High level of knowledge of RCRA, OSHA, and DOT regulations pertaining to hazardous waste handling and transportation.
- Awareness of DEA regulations pertaining to controlled pharmaceuticals.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Willing and able to wear company-provided personal protective equipment including a respirator, eye protection, foot protection, Tyvek coveralls, etc.
- CDL Class B with HazMat endorsement, or willingness to obtain at company expense.
- Willing and able to travel overnight via automobile/truck approximately 20% of the time.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
