Full time, permanent role

Hours of work (flexible): 9.00am - 5.00pm or 8.00am - 4.00pm Monday - Friday

Negotiable salary dependent on experience

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out routine testing on the following: Micro - ecoli, entero, staph, tvc and yeasts and moulds. Pathogen - listeria detection, listeria enumeration, salmonella testing and bacillus cereus testing
• Login and record all sample details in a timely and accurate manner
• Perform analysis procedures as set out in the Laboratory manual
• Carry out Equipment monitoring and calibration checks

Requirements:

• A scientific qualification, ideally in microbiology
• Previous experience working in a similar environment
• Ability to record test results accurately
• Ability to follow safety procedures closely
• Good teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to developments within the laboratory
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• IT proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Good organisational skills
• Have audit participation experience ideally
