Location: Bohemia, NY
Hours: Monday - Friday; 7:30am - 4:00pm (flexible to work 8:30am - 5:00pm)
How you will make an impact…
As a Label Designer you will be responsible for the design and creation of clinical label proofs based on client and internal manufacturing guidelines. Responsibilities include label proof generation for single panel and booklet labels for both flexographic and digital manufacturing.
What you will do…
Design and create clinical label proofs based on internal manufacturing guidelines
Analyze and construct label design per specifications listed on the label logistics forms provided by Client Services team.
Craft various forms of standard and booklet labels aligned with internal quality and manufacturing requirements and within requested timelines.
Design various forms of standard and booklet label constructions to client requirements and internal printing capabilities.
Craft all templates and constructions needed prior to design.
Assist with entering data into proprietary software prior to Client viewing.
Create mock proofs and packaging diagrams for Client Services department as requested to address a range of customer requests.
Train new members of the department on work instructions and software.
Work on any additional projects as needed.
Follow all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), client protocols, and quality criteria in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices in all areas of responsibility.
How you will get here…
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent Required
Professional Certification and/or degree in Graphic Arts or Print Production Planning a plus
Experience
1+ years’ experience in Adobe In-Design and/or other design programs
Experience working with manufacturing pre-press is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Must be computer literate.
Ability to interpret label design requirements from client provided instructions.
An understanding of Customer Profile and Client provided documentation to ensure accurate design and discover any potential issues in job set up.
Basic knowledge of press and variable printing standards to be able to create designs which can take into consideration internal manufacturing capabilities and meet client’s specifications.
Knowledge of various programs and software (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, etc.).
