Position Summary

The lab technician will work closely with faculty, staff and students to assist in the proper upkeep and maintenance of a busy undergraduate biology lab.

Position Responsibilities

(a) preparation of materials needed for the laboratory exercises,

(b) maintaining all living materials used in the advanced courses,

(c) ordering supplies for the various laboratory exercises,

(d) trouble-shooting laboratory equipment issues,

(e) overseeing the cleanliness of the teaching laboratories

(f) maintaining inventory

(g) assisting professors [e.g., photocopying of examinations, proctoring

Experience & Educational Background :

BA degree; preferably in Biology or Biochemistry.

Skills & Competencies :

Attention to details, ability to work independently

Salary Range :

Lab Technician New Hire Rate
1199 New Hire rate:$25.37 and 1199 One Year of Service rate $25.88
