The post of Clinical Midwife Manager 2 Labour Ward has a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the clinical area on a day to day basis. The main responsibilities are: leading on the delivery of woman focused care, quality assurance, resource management, staffing and staff development, practice development, facilitating communication, professional / clinical leadership and ensuring high standards of care through the safe, smooth running of the Labour Ward. This post is pensionable. A panel may be created from which permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full time or part time duration may be filled. The tenure of this post will be indicated at "expression of interest" stage.
