The Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences is looking for a Lead Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. The Lead Administrative Support Specialist will provide professional administrative support for the Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Community. Responsibilities are complex and of an advanced nature to include but not limited to the following:
  • Scheduling for Associate Dean and Committee meetings
  • Preparing correspondence
  • Distributing information via email
  • Maintain records of faculty
    • Faculty tenure, promotion, sabbaticals, posttenure review
    • Contract renewals
    • Faculty lists
    • Faculty awards
  • Supports Dean Direct Faculty
  • Performs related duties as assigned to successfully fulfill the function of the position
Job Requirements

Required Education:
High School Diploma or GED, AND:
  • 48 months office experience, clerical, or administrative experience
Skills:
  • Proficient navigating and maintaining databases
  • Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instructions
  • Basic computer skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff
  • Able to produce reports and complete work within deadlines
  • Strong initiative to solve problems
  • Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives
  • General office skills such as multiline phone, copying, filing, scanning, and mail
  • Customer service
  • Composition and proofreading skills

  • Standard office environment with extensive computer use. Must be able to reach, stand, engage in repetitive motions, grasp, move, feel, touch, communicate, hear and see including color, depth perception and clarity.
