Job Description


Lead Materials Handler responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following
:

  • Primarily responsible for daily warehouse operations including, but not limited to, shipping and receiving supplies, managing inventory, conducting cycle counting, assigning rotating tasks, collecting and reviewing daily checklists e.g., ensuring that all send outs have been addressed, and providing general support in order to ensure continuation of daily business operations.
  • Provides leadership in the department as an acting mentor and role model for staff.
  • Communicates problems to Supervisor or Manager.
  • Working with the warehouse/inventory supervisor, the Lead will assess the prioritization of regular tasks versus immediate requests to reprioritize material handler tasks.
  • An understanding of every department’s inventory needs and usage
  • Ability to train subordinates in all aspects of job duties
  • Assists in making sure policies and procedures are followed and that training is complete for all staff members
  • Recommends changes in services, processes, and policies that enhance department efficiencies
  • Responsible for distributing feedback to the supervisor/manager from the laboratory e.g. inventory usage, better practices, adjusting purchasing volumes, storage re-organization, upcoming changes to testing, staffing issues, etc.
  • Provide feedback on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) revisions
  • Partner with Warehouse/Inventory Supervisor to ensure optimal flow/storage within the warehouse and ensure the warehouse space is following DPT guidelines for safety/organization/presentation on a daily basis.
  • Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and in compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies including the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Oversees all inbound supply deliveries; performs product inspections; and enters related data into the receiving system according to established operating Procedures (OP’s).
  • Manages inventory in accordance with “First-In, First-Out (FIFO)” principles in order to promote efficiency and waste reduction.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities to support laboratory and facility operations and equipment as assigned.

Qualifications


Minimum Educational Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Previous laboratory inventory experience preferred, but not required.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Working Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of warehouse experience.
  • Ability to instruct subordinates and delegate tasks.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistance.
  • Intermediate Excel, Outlook, and data entry skills.
  • Strong problem solving and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (minimum 50 pounds).
  • Ability to work in a controlled environment utilizing aseptic techniques.
  • Ability to work within quality systems under regulatory requirements.

Potential Environment Factors:

  • This laboratory carefully maintains all hazardous materials. All employees must abide by Eurofins DPT’s Safety and Exposure procedures. This includes using the provided safety clothing and equipment.

Additional Information


Position is full-time Monday-Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Centennial, CO are encouraged to apply.
