We are looking for a Learning & Event Technology Specialist to join our energetic & diverse team. LETS supports all AV/IT related services across the Charles River campus including live meeting & event support, AV installation, repair and design of new systems. Together, we also support the teaching and learning mission of BU by providing best-in-class support to BUs faculty and students in their use of classroom technology. Whatever your AV specialty is, we do that! The Technology Specialist role we are looking to fill now will assist with our work and will assist with AV repair and maintenance of spaces running Crestron systems in-room and through virtual control. While all staff on the team are trained to do Tier I repair and assist with system installations when needed, an ideal candidate would bring some deeper experience in one or both of these areas. This onsite role may also participate on service teams and special projects across the larger Client Services & Support Group (CS&S), where LETS is one of five groups. All of CS&S is a part of the central Information Services & Technology (IS&T) team. This position entails being on call and working some evening, weekend and/or holiday hours, as needed for event support and/or classroom access. Responsibilities include:

• Operate, maintain, repair, troubleshoot and provide advanced level support for a wide variety of established and emerging AV, classroom, computer, and media technology systems.
• Technical expertise in the use of projectors, audio amplifiers and mixers, various audio and video switching devices and electronic control systems, sound reinforcement and lighting set ups.
• Experience with livestreaming of events and supporting hybrid events.
• Serve as technical expert for escalated AV service issues, as assigned.
• Experience with digital signage solutions helpful.
• Knowledge of AVoIP, virtual control of AV systems and AV networking strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting Crestron systems preferred.
• Exposure to Crestron toolbox and/or Crestron programming experience helpful, but not required.

• 3-5 years experience in a related AV technology support environment.
• Experience with an ITSM ticketing system such as ServiceNow.
• Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or CTS-I certification preferred.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to lift moderately heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs.)
