OVERVIEW:
The Legal Assistant will provide administrative support to attorney or paraprofessionals and assist with other office duties as needed. They will answer phones in a professional manner, greet clients and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude, and get initial client information. The Legal Assistant will set up meetings, conference and zoom calls, process U.S. mail, UPS and certified mail per attorney request, and maintain both hard copy and electronic files as applicable. They will also order supplies, ensure copiers and printers are stocked with sufficient paper, maintain cleanliness of conference rooms and common kitchen area, log in mail and packages, bind, copy, scan and fax documents as applicable. The Legal Assistant will revise documents and short letters as applicable, submit conflict checks and new business memos as directed by the attorney, process/submit check requests, process billing for each attorney on a monthly basis in accordance with the Time Matters process, interact with County, Court, State offices as needed for filing and scheduling, make arrangements for depositions as needed, process paper and/or electronic filings with many different types of courts, and proofread documents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and client service skills, be able to work on multiple matters simultaneously in an organized manner and under minimal supervision, be flexible and able to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands, and be able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines. They should have an Associates/Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, a minimum of five years of experience, and experience at a law firm or professional services firm is preferred. The Legal Assistant should also have proficiency in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Quickbooks, with TimeMatters experience preferred. Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly are a must.

Pay: $32,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
