Job description

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons through diligent surveillance
• Preventing injuries by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors, in and around an aquatic environment
• Enforcing facility rules and regulations and educating facility patrons about them
• Recognizing and responding quickly and effectively to emergencies
• Administering first aid, CPR or using AED in an emergency
• Informing supervisors, other lifeguards and management when more help or equipment is needed.

SECONDARY DUTIES

• Performing maintenance or other tasks assigned by supervisors with minimal direct supervision and to best ability
• Completing all required schedule needs and submitting to designated staff
• Inspecting the facility daily and reporting unsafe condition or equipment to supervisor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 16 years old
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification
• Current American Red Cross CPR, First Aid and AED Certification
• Shift differential pay for weekday morning shifts (6-10am)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $18.50 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
