RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare grilled and sautéed menu items according to recipes and standards
- Prepare and cook from scratch menu items. Use a variety of skills and methods from seasoning to grilling
- Ensure back area adheres to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and service
- Team up with managers and front of house staff to get meals prepped and served in a timely manner
- Work with your kitchen team to prep, portion, cook and plate menu items
- Oversee the daily operation and execution of all menu categories and recipes to ensure the quality and efficiency for every dish
- Work under the Chef to help in running the line
- Restock, clean, maintain and restock cook station items as needed throughout the shift, while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in cooler and all storage areas, adhering to proper food storage procedures.
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Basic understanding of kitchen lingo and etiquette
- Support the chef in their absence
- Ensure compliance with all food-handling and sanitation regulations
- Experienced with multiple cooking techniques such as: braising, grilling, smoking, frying, sauté, baking, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience in all stations of the kitchen and multiple kitchen skills
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment, basic tools, small wares, culinary techniques
- Able to anticipate the needs of others in the kitchen and proactively work to meet those needs
- Strong communication skills
- Strong team player, setting everyone up for success
- Organization and cleanliness
- Seeking minimum of 1 year experience in a fast paced atmosphere
- Able to meet all scheduling commitments
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis and stand for extended periods
- Flexible schedule and reliable transportation

Pay: $18.00 - $18.01 per hour
