The Loan Operations Specialist I is responsible for an assigned range of loan operations duties required to service the bank’s loan portfolio in accordance with the loan policy and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Uploads all loans, extensions, and renewal information and documents in accordance with bank policy and regulatory requirements
• Preforms loan maintenance
• Loan documentation review
• May assist with file assembly and maintenance
• Responsible for various reports as assigned
• Completes all required training
• Performs other related duties as required or assigned

Education and Experience

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required
• At least one-year experience in banking or administrative role is required

Skill Requirements:

• Strong computer skills are required
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to organize information
• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be familiar with regulatory compliance requirements
• Able to function in a high attention to detail, deadline-oriented environment
• Must possess the ability to effectively relate to customers, officers, and others involved in the lending process.
• Willingness to be involved and represent Southern Bancorp through civic and community organizations.
• Regularly required to sit, to talk, and to hear; reach with hands and arms. Must occasionally stand and walk; stoop, kneel, or crouch. May be required to lift or move up to 10 pounds occasionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A background in banking and loan transactions/terminology and clerical experience is preferred

The pay range for this position begins at $15.00 per hour. Pay offered is dependent on applicant’s relevant experience. Our comprehensive compensation includes salary, benefits, and an annual bonus.
