Maine Savings is searching for a full-time, 40 hour per week, Loan Servicing Specialist position for our Hampden Administration location.
This position may be considered for a combination of remote and on-site work.
The Loan Servicing Specialist works under the supervision of the Loan Servicing Supervisor; in this role, you can expect to perform a variety of functions in connection with commercial, real estate and consumer lending to include all processing and maintenance of loans after they have been closed. Additional job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform clerical tasks related to the loan.
- Support the loan process by performing a variety of operational tasks such as quoting payoffs, lien perfection and releasing, posting payoffs and handling insurance premiums, and processing insurance claims.
- Monitor compliance and keep current with regulations, maintaining a working knowledge of applicable regulations as they relate to lending and to Maine Savings' loan standards and policies.
- Perform routing quality control reviews on all loan production. In addition, the Loan Servicing Specialist may be called upon routinely to produce management, board or other reports which will require regular data mining and research.
- Research and maintain automatic payments and answer daily inquiries from internal and external members through various communication channels.
- Provide exceptional customer service to vendors, insurance companies, financial institutions and dealerships in support of loan processes.
- Assist in preparing information for internal and external audits.
This position focuses on obtaining general credit union knowledge and mastering routine loan processing and maintenance, and an interest and experience in customer service and working knowledge of Windows are essential for this position.
