Cooks Venture is seeking a Yard Driver Associate to join us in our mission to change the world through food! As part of our start-up team, you'll be a key player in ensuring Cooks Venture fulfills our promise to deliver only the best in quality products to our customers.
As Local Driver Associate, you will:
- Operate trucks and move trailers in and out of loading areas for shipping while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to company policies and procedures
- Operate trucks from Jay to Tahlequah and to Decatur
- no touch freight
- Load, unload and position trailers on the premises
- Complete all necessary paperwork
- Follow all GMP and HACCP procedures that relate to cleanliness, food safety and pest control with the facility
- Comply with Cooks Venture policies and regulations regarding safety, food safety, environmental sustainability, animal welfare, ingredients and any related item
- Follow Cooks Venture values to develop and maintain a favorable working relationship with all employees
- Perform other projects, initiatives, and tasks as directed by leadership
Physical Activities:
- Lift up to 50 lbs; may bend, stoop and be on feet for extended periods of time; will move between hot and wet environment to cold and wet environment
- Roll and push buggies
- Stand up to 8 hours
- Work around raw, live animal odors
- Work in dusty environment for up to 8 hours
- Ability to hook and unhook trailers, including climbing on the truck to hook up hoses or lines or check trailers
Minimum Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must have valid Class A CDL License
- Must have a valid drivers license
Schedule Hours:
- Friday - Sunday - 7am - 7pm
