Summary


Responsible for developing, planning, and controlling plant activities associated with managing inventory flow through all operations. Assistant Logistics Manager will oversee and provide direction for Material Supervisor and Material Handlers.

During the early stages of the company's establishment, the Material Manager will contribute significantly to the establishment of MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC. Based on previous versions, various operating standards, and systems will be modified and renewed for new projects. After establishment, Material Management will be responsible for ensuring that materials are available when needed at the correct cost and quality. Material Management will be key in coordinating with other departments and teams, managing resources, and ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the material management process.

About MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC

MOBIS NORTH AMERICA ELECTRIFIED POWERTAIN, LLC (MNAe) is a Tier 1 supplier of the BSA and PE systems, which are critical parts to producing electric vehicles, based on the state of art manufacturing technology related to the battery system assembly.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Material Supervisor and Material Handlers.
  • Responsible for overseeing FIFO material management.
  • Oversees all dock activity, including live load, unloading, and dropped shipments.
  • Performs all personnel reviews and makes any recommendations needed for performance improvement or disciplinary action to be taken.
  • Assist with the management of returnable dunnage.
  • Assist in ensuring all inventory hold locations are appropriately allocated and visually identified.
  • Oversees plant below the minimum alert process.
  • Other duties as described by Material Manager.
  • Responsible for the shop floor's continuous improvement.

Basic Qualifications: (The requirements below represent the knowledge, skills, and ability required and preferred for this position.)

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry-specific experience required
  • 2-5 years of experience in Just in the time management field in the Automotive industry.
  • Experience in the automotive logistics field

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree with two years of supervisory experience or equivalent experience
  • Proven leadership
  • Ability to teach and lead a team with process improvements, new techniques, and updated procedures.
  • Familiar with sequencing, kitting, barcoding, and the importance of safe material handling principles.
  • Good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Above-average mechanical aptitude and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of the SAP or PAB process is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Working Conditions: Office setting, some walking and standing within and between buildings.

Travel Requirments: Domestic/ International travel required
