We are a plastic injection molding company seeking a dependable, self-motivated, and self-starter that works well with all people. Problem-solver and detailed oriented person a plus. This position works the day shift 6am-12pm.

Overall Objective

The Machine Operator, under the general direction of the Shift Supervisor, runs production machinery and ensures product is produced to quality specifications.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Runs machines within standard cycle times or alerts supervisor
• Maintains acceptable part quality
• Separates parts from runners
• Label all production and scrap with proper lot numbers (#’s) and pertinent information
• Documents part quality on proper forms
• Ensure all work areas are safe
• Perform other work-related duties as requested.

Knowledge/Experience:

• Ability to operate a variety of warehouse equipment; such as fork lift and hand truck
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Legible handwriting
• Basic math skills
• Understanding and ability to operate scales
• Computer-literate
• Strong organizational skills

Education/Training:

High School or GED and 2 years manufacturing environment experience preferred.

Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to fingers, handle or feel; and talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision. The employee must be able to read, write, and travel as needed. The employee must be able to withstand working in uncomfortable conditions such as humidity, dust, loud noises, and non-temperature-controlled environments.

Pre-Employment Drug Screening:

All candidates will be subject to pre-employment drug screening at a local laboratory. Castino reserves the right to a drug test and may require an employee to submit to the test as a condition of employment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
