Maintenance Parts Coordinator
Job description

- Realize the importance of a team working environment.
- Perform the duties of Help Desk Administrator including front line interaction with departmental customers via phone, email, intranet or face to face. Respond to customer inquiries by entering work requests into CMMS, gathering information about the services needed and/or provide the requested information.
- Perform computerized maintenance management system administrative activities including documentation of assets and their attributes to ensure proper classification, management of work orders - including preventive and corrective maintenance processes
- Assign corrective and preventive maintenance work orders to the appropriate staff and/or contracted resources in CMMS
- Work with supervisors to plan/schedule the activities of maintenance and contracted technicians related to current backlog
- Review completed maintenance documentation (e.g., work orders, service reports) to ensure compliance with applicable standard operating procedures
- Provide supporting data for monthly reports on shut down events\change management, productivity statistics, and departmental objectives
- Maintain operations & maintenance manual availability and historical data files.
- Collect, sort, and assemble data/information from established and non-established sources for standard reports. Create special reports as needs are demonstrated by supervisory staff.
- Coordinate material lead time with field mechanical staff to ensure that parts are available for scheduled work
- Serve as a RCP and use FSA for contracts and materials. May be a P-card holder for the department.
- Assist in the organization and coordination of external contracts for scheduled maintenance actions
- Manage spare parts inventory and re-order as required • Kit up required parts for the assigned PM task
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Ability to effectively use, at an intermediate level, PC software including Microsoft Excel®, Word®, and Access®
- Experience using computerized maintenance management software preferred
- Current ability or demonstrable ability, with training, to effectively use TMS Enterprise
- Experience in a maintenance help desk environment and with work planning/scheduling preferred
- Familiarity with a facility or scientific maintenance environment preferred
