FabOhio, Inc. is seeking to hire a long-term ‘Maintenance Technician” to join our small manufacturing business located in Uhrichsville, Ohio. We are looking for a detail-oriented and team player with previous Radio Frequency (RF) welding / heat-sealing equipment and electrical maintenance experience.

Primary focus includes hands-on maintenance support and trouble-shooting for FabOhio’s manufacturing and warehouse equipment. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for equipment upkeep to run safely and efficiently during our one and only production shift, of ~16 employees, that runs Monday through Friday from 7AM-3:30PM. Secondary area of focus for this role includes general building and facility maintenance.

Strong candidates will have previous experience in a similar role as well as robust mechanical and electrical application with knowledge of general shop mechanics and tools. Showcasing self-starter qualities as well as effective communication and collaboration will be highly desirable for this established role within our organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance

• Responsible for all manufacturing and warehouse equipment maintenance and associated documentation that includes, but not limited to: Radio Frequency (RF) welding presses, press dies, indexing equipment, table saws, forklifts, and pallet jacks
• Provide hands-on support, trouble-shooting, and critical thinking to resolve minor to moderate questions/issues
• Advise external contractors hired for major to critical repairs and/or equipment refurbishing
• Responsible for tooling and equipment calibration testing as well as record keeping

Production Manufacturing

• Advise Production Team (~16 employees) on equipment safety when operating Radio Frequency (RF) welding equipment and other equipment/tools
• Support press set-ups and work station prep that coincidence with lean manufacturing practices and align with the production delivery schedule
• Support product containment frame construction to meet client specific requirements, primarily made of PVC or stainless-steel piping

Safety

• Practice and uphold to industry and company safety policies and lead monthly building inspections
• Perform necessary lock-out-tag-out processes, inspections, and documentation

Building Facilities

• Initiate facility maintenance activities to promote building cleanliness, employee safety, and operational efficiencies
• Responsible for moderate housekeeping and building repairs (i.e., change light bulbs, un-clog sinks, grease stalled garage door on loading dock)

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• GED required and trade school preferred
• Previous manufacturing experience and 3+ years in maintenance role
• Radio Frequency (RF) welding / heat-sealing equipment and electrical maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical acumen with knowledge and understanding of general shop mechanics/tools
• Motivated to execute autonomously while also making course corrections based on received feedback
• Detail oriented to document thorough maintenance, refurbishing, and calibration records
• Physically able to stand for majority of the day, lift up to 50lbs, bend, twist, and climb a ladder
• Willingness to participate in formal safety training opportunities
• Must have reliable transportation to Uhrichsville, OH facility (remote work not available)
